We’re looking for dance artists interested in joining Kelvin O. Hardy’s Performance Project “Good Girl, Bad Times.”

As part of the selection process, we invite interested dancers to join one of Kelvin’s classes at marameo first. This gives you the opportunity to experience his movement language and working approach, while also giving Kelvin the chance to get to know you as a dancer before forming the group for the project.

Good Girl, Bad Times is the working title for a medicinal movement meditation on love, lust, desire, and transformation. Through both structured and free movement, the project explores the emotional landscapes of heartache, infatuation, endings, rebirth, and personal transformation.
Kelvin O. Hardy’s choreographic repertoire reflects a broad and diverse range of movement practices, unified through what may be described as a Kelvinized synthesis shaped by his personal dance journey. His creative process begins with organic, intuitive exploration and develops toward refinement through intellectual play.
Hardy creates choreography with a studied awareness of those who came before him, a deep engagement with the present moment, and a clear vision of the dance that is still emerging.
His deeply rooted familiarity with both Black American and European dance cultures and aesthetics empowers him to synthesize elements in service of a unique movement signature.
This signature is grounded in his own lyrical and visual aesthetic: clear, qualitative, intentional, and distinctly his own.
This project offers an opportunity for personal growth, collaborative discovery, and meaningful connection with an audience. It invites participants and viewers into an experience that is at once timeless, contemporary, and continually emerging.
