Class description
During the practice, static postures as well as flowing and dynamic movement sequences are practiced. In addition to promoting strength, endurance and suppleness, the focus is also on increasing body awareness, self-perception and mindfulness. For beginners as well as athletes from all areas. Also for children from the age of 7.
Kalarippayattu is a holistic method that promotes the body’s flexibility and at the same time strengthens mental and emotional resilience.
Bio
Elena first came into contact with Indian philosophy in her teens. During her studies, she became increasingly immersed in this subject and developed a passionate fascination that she has continued to pursue and refine ever since.
In 2017, she discovered Kalarippayattu and has been dedicated to this practice ever since. She has studied with various centers and gurukkal (teachers) both in Europe and India and strives to further expand her knowledge in the history, science and spirituality of this art.
She began her yoga training at the ISYCO Institute in Italy before deepening her studies in India, where she completed a program with the Ministry of Ayush and the Yoga Alliance. She is currently expanding her knowledge in a four-year intensive training program at the BDY in Berlin and continues to deepen her knowledge of both yoga and Kalarippayattu.
