About Heidi
Heidi is originally from the United States and has been living in Germany since 1997, where she works as a contemporary dancer, choreographer, and dance educator. She has traveled extensively, sharing her contemporary dance technique internationally, leading workshops and working in educational programs worldwide.
With over 25 years of yoga practice, Heidi integrates yogic principles of mindfulness, breath, and embodied awareness into her dance and teaching methodology. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges contemporary dance and yoga, supporting practitioners in cultivating presence and clarity.
Heidi completed her 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Sky in Berlin in 2023 and holds certifications in Yin Yoga (2022) and meditation and mindfulness practice (2021). She has been part of a large teaching team offering educational seminars, yoga, meditation, and mindfulness programs throughout Germany called BIEK— this work continues to deepen and expand her experience as a yoga teacher and educator.
In her teaching, Heidi offers a dynamic Vinyasa flow with a strong focus on alignment, breath, and clarity, while consistently weaving mindfulness into the practice. She has developed a teacher training program ( weissmann teacher training with Jennifer Mann) focused on educating new teachers and leading contemporary dance through an integrative, mindful approach.
