Bio

Louis Stiens, originally from Munich, now based in Berlin, received his basic dance training at the Heinz Bosl Foundation and the John Cranko School in Stuttgart. He has been a member of the Stuttgart Ballet since 2011 and was appointed semi-soloist in 2015/2016. Stiens has worked as both a dancer and choreographer in classical, neoclassical, and contemporary genres. His notable works include collaborations such as “Dancer in the Dark” (2012) and seven commissioned works for the Stuttgart Ballet. His choreography for “Die siebenTodsünden / Seven Heavenly Sins” (featuring PEACHES) and the world premiere of “Tal” for Ballett Zürich in January 2023 are notable projects. Since the 2022/23 season, he has been working as a freelance choreographer and exploring various artistic spaces and collaborations.
