Contemporary Class
Cristiana’s class is highly physical, blending different dance techniques. Rooted in ballet and release technique and shaped through her personal research, the class explores both technical precision and freedom of movement. It offers a challenging movement vocabulary while remaining adaptable to dancers of different levels and backgrounds.
The class begins with a progressive warm-up designed to release unnecessary tension and create space in the body. Attention is given to weight, gravity, and the relationship with the floor, encouraging an intelligent and efficient use of energy. Floor work plays a central role, including slides, spirals, weight shifts, and transitions between levels.
As the class develops, more complex combinations travel through space, integrating dynamic and technical challenges. Imagery is used as a practical tool to explore texture, dynamics, and intention, helping dancers refine precision while discovering nuance within structured material
Creative Lab
In the second part, the choreographic material developed in class is transformed through clear tasks and creative games. Participants personalise the movement, working individually or in small groups to create distinct scenes.
They explore how the same sequence can evolve into something completely different, discovering new possibilities for expression and interpretation. Through this process, dancers investigate intention, imagery, and sensory input to deepen their movement quality and expression, while developing their own artistic voice and creative versatility.
