THE EMOTIONAL BODY IN PRACTICE WITH ADONIS VAIS
Level: Beginners / Beginners with experience

Beginning movement research through improvisation we warm up the body by generating our instinctive way of moving. We learn how to connect our senses to our physicality. We dive into basic technical elements of contemporary dance and into choreography! A great combination of improvisation, technical exercises and set choreography for movers who want to deepen their skills and broaden their understanding of physical expression.

Adonis Vais graduated from the Greek State School of Dance in 2009. In his home country Greece he has danced for the Hellenic Dance Company, Valasia Simeon, Dimitris Papaioannou, Oktana Dance Theater and Jukstapoz. Internationally he has worked with Dorit Weintal – Dansmakers Amsterdam, cie.Toula Limnaios and Sasha Waltz & Guests. He is teaching contemporary dance, improvisation and repertoire in Berlin, Athens and Jerusalem. His first choreographic work was presented in the Athens & Epidaurus Festival 2018.

ORGANIC MOVEMENT: HAND–BALANCE–WORKSHOP WITH LUKAS FLINT
Level: Handstand or movement experience

With the organic movement hand-balance-workshop we intensely but playfully confront our fears of being upside down and finding balance. Structured training and support enable you to build up a solid handstand. The physical practice, experiencing and understanding being upside-down takes the main part in this course. The workshop is designed for people who are handstand or movement experienced but still struggle to have easy 30-second-holds.

Lukas Flint grew up in Berlin where he early explored his passion for movement. In the beginning, he gathered knowledge about training, nutrition, and health, then studied circus and is now working as a fulltime movement-coach and acrobat.

DESIRE – ON INTIMACY IN PROCESS AND PERFORMANCE WITH DAVID BLOOM
Level: Dancers / Movers / Performers / Bodyworkers

Desire and Sexuality are omnipresent in advertising, entertainment, and corporate capitalism in general, but the image presented of what is desired and desirable is often fairly far removed from most people’s authentic interests. Work as a professional dancer often involves encountering our own boundaries on a variety of levels. In this workshop, we will breathe, work somatically, and dive into scores based on our own desires and boundaries. David draws on years of working with dance & performance, as well as with conscious sexuality practices such as tantra and bdsm, in order to propose a safer space exploring a holistic approach to making art, that both draws from and affects our personal, social, and political realities. We will not go into physical contact, but rather explore how the space between informs desire in socially distant times.

David Bloom is a choreographer, dancer, teacher, father, filmmaker, pianist, bodyworker, and tea collector. Graduated from the M.A. Choreography course at HZT Berlin and the Urban Tantra Professional Training Program with Barbara Carellas. His dance film trilogy Sex & Space premiered at the Berlin Porn Film Festival between 2013 and 2016 and was screened internationally. David was a 2012 danceWEB scholar and his teaching has included HZT Berlin, Tanzquartier Vienna, Tanzfabrik Berlin, Human Architecture Lab in St. Petersburg, K3 in Hamburg, the Masters of Contemporary Dance Education in Frankfurt, the Body IQ Festival in Berlin, the Rietveld Academie for Fine Arts & Design in Amsterdam, & the ImPulsTanz Festival in Vienna.
