Tamae Yoneda is a contemporary dancer and choreographer from Osaka Japan based in Berlin. A finalist at Japan’s largest dance event Japan Dance Delight, she has developed her practice across contemporary and urban dance, battles and international projects. Since moving to Berlin in 2019, she has worked as a dancer, choreographer, teacher and judge and teaches her own method “Movement Poetry”. In 2025, she founded “My piece of paper”a contemporary dance collective created as a platform for sharing art and connecting different perspectives through movement.

Class theme: Movement Poetry – Movement Research & Concept Improvisation
This highly dynamic contemporary class explores the creation of art through meaningful words, playfully translated into dance and movement. The class begins with a physical warm up, followed by movement material and concepts that inspire improvisation and personal expression. In the final part, a choreographic sequence is learned and explored through individual musicality, character and interpretation. The class draws from a mixture of physical styles encouraging curiosity and freedom in movement.
