Bio

Gil Shachar is a multidisciplinary creative working at the intersection of dance, somatic movement, scenography, and architecture. He began his career dancing for choreographer Ohad Naharin with the Batsheva Ensemble and went on to perform internationally with choreographers such as Sharon Eyal, Inbal Pinto, Mats Ek, Johan Inger, Alexander Ekman, and Sasha Waltz.

Deeply shaped by his time with Naharin, Gil became a certified Gaga teacher and teaches internationally since 2016. Expanding beyond the stage, he studied architecture at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem and later relocated to Berlin, where he worked with Studio Olafur Eliasson.

Gil collaborates on scenographic projects across both art and performance contexts. Informed by his transdisciplinary creative background, he regularly shares Gaga with our community.
