Bio

Briana was born in Southern California and began her pre-professional training in classical ballet and contemporary dance at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York, the Rock School of the Pennsylvania Ballet, and later at Alonzo King LINES Ballet. She was a soloist for Inland Dance Theater and Riverside Ballet, and part of the ensemble of Yabas Afro-Brazlian Modern Dance Company. As a freelancer in San Francisco Briana danced with contemporary and theater companies, including Anna Halprin, Robert Moses’ Kin and We Players. Briana is also a teacher, choreographer and trauma-informed somatic group facilitator. She currently lives in Berlin where she teaches professional ballet, somatic embodiment, and regenerative sensuality. She works as a freelance dancer with various choreographers and ensembles, including producing collaborative work within her healing arts collective, WildHoly.

Class Description

Profi ballet class is comprised of classical (Vaganova) and neo-classical/contemporary ballet technique integrated with basic principles and theory of somatic awareness practices, including Body Mind Centering.
