Kelvin O. Hardy

The U.S. born choreographer, teacher and dancer graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelors degree and a citation in Dance. After dancing in different modern companies, musicals and shows in Philadelphia,New York and internationally, he came to Europe with a musical tour. He started his own Berlin-based dance company (“Rhythm and Motion” ‘90-‘92) and was offered a job at the State Ballet School in Berlin where he worked for 15 years (‘91-‘06). Recently, he has participated as a jury member at the international dance competition “TanzOlymp” in Berlin. Most notable of his numerable choreographies are “Songs of the Equinox” (choreography for Tanznews 2010), “Carmen - A bigger bounce” (Hip-Hopera Zürich 2007) and “Cabaret” (Stadttheater Chemnitz 2003). Presently, he is working as a freelance choreographer and teacher based in Berlin. He choreographs on a regular basis for among others the FriedrichstadtPalast-Jugend-Ensemble and frequently gives Seminars and Workshops in Modern for Advanced Studies Programs throughout Europe.
